Hayda (“we”) runs a push-up competition app and the website hayda.app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: your camera video is processed only on your phone and never leaves it.
Camera and video
The rep counter runs on your device. Video frames and body landmarks are processed in memory and discarded immediately. We never record, store or upload video or raw landmarks.
For each set we receive only per-rep scalar metrics (lowest elbow angle, body line angle, rep duration), the rep timeline and the total count. These are needed to verify results fairly.
What we collect
Account: the identifier and email from Sign in with Apple or Google, your username, display name, avatar and birth year (to confirm you are 16+).
Activity: sets, duels, challenges, squads, badges, streaks and rating.
Device: platform, app version, language, time zone, push token and app-integrity signals used against cheating.
Website waitlist: your email, your consent, language and optional answers (Uzbekistan beta, Telegram username).
Analytics: product usage events, hosted by PostHog in the EU.
Crash reports: technical error details (device model, OS and app version, error trace), via Sentry. They never contain video.
Advertising: the device advertising identifier and ad interaction data, handled by Google AdMob (see “Advertising” below).
Why we use it
To run competitions, keep leaderboards fair, send notifications you can control, prevent cheating, fix crashes, improve the counter, show the ads that keep Hayda free and credit rewarded-ad bonuses, and, with your consent, email you about the beta and launch.
Advertising
Hayda is free for everyone and shows ads through Google AdMob: banners on the Today, Progress and Challenges tabs and, only when you tap to watch one, rewarded videos. We never show ads during or right after a set, and we don't use full-screen interstitial ads.
AdMob uses your device's advertising identifier — the Android advertising ID, or on iPhone the IDFA only if you allow tracking in Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt — together with device and ad interaction data to show, measure and limit ads and to prevent ad fraud. Google processes this data under its own policies (policies.google.com/technologies/ads).
Where the law requires it (EEA, UK and Switzerland) we ask for your consent with Google's consent form. You can change your choice at any time in the app under Settings → Ad privacy choices. If you decline consent or tracking, you still see ads, but they are non-personalised.
Rewarded ads: when you finish a rewarded video, Google confirms it to our server using its server-side verification. The confirmation contains an anonymous reward id and your Hayda user id so we can credit the bonus to your account. Camera video and rep data are never used for advertising.
Push notifications
If you allow notifications, we store your device's push token to send you notifications about duels, challenges and streaks. They are delivered by Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) on Android and the Apple Push Notification service on iPhone.
You can turn notifications off in the app or in your phone's settings. The token is removed when you turn notifications off or delete your account.
Service providers
We use these providers only for the purposes described here: Apple and Google (sign-in), PostHog (analytics, EU), Sentry (crash reports), Google AdMob (ads and rewarded-ad verification), Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service (push notifications), plus our hosting and email providers.
Retention
Account and profile: while the account exists; deleted within 30 days after you delete it.
Sets and timelines: while the account exists; anonymized when it is deleted.
Push logs: 90 days. Moderation flags: 1 year. Analytics events: 13 months.
Where data is stored
Data may be processed outside Uzbekistan only under the safeguards the law requires (an adequate country, standard contractual clauses or approved standards). The service providers listed above may process data in other countries under these safeguards. We do not process biometric data.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export and delete your data. Delete your account in the app (Progress → Settings → Account) or at hayda.app/delete-account. Unsubscribe from emails with the link in any message. Change your ad consent in the app under Settings → Ad privacy choices, and on iPhone your tracking choice in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Children
Hayda is for people aged 16 and over.
